Welcome to Duet Learning Co. LLC (“Duet Learning,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By scheduling, purchasing, or participating in tutoring services through our website, scheduling platform, or directly with our tutors, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

Duet Learning Co. LLC provides academic tutoring services, including but not limited to ACT preparation, high school tutoring, middle school tutoring, and college-level tutoring. Services may be provided in person or online, depending on availability and student needs.

Tutoring services are educational support only and are not a substitute for classroom instruction, professional counseling, or academic guarantees.

2. Scheduling & Appointments

All sessions must be scheduled in advance through our approved scheduling system or directly with Duet Learning staff.

  • Session availability is subject to tutor availability.

  • Appointments are reserved only once confirmed.

  • Clients are responsible for ensuring accurate contact information is provided.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We value our tutors’ time and ask that you do the same.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled session.

  • Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full and prepaid sessions may be forfeited.

  • No-shows will be charged the full session rate.

Duet Learning reserves the right to make reasonable exceptions in cases of emergency at our discretion.

4. Packages & Payments

Payments

  • Payment is required prior to or at the time of service.

  • We offer both single-session bookings and prepaid packages.

  • All prices are listed in U.S. dollars.

Packages

  • Prepaid packages are non-refundable once used in part.

  • Packages may have an expiration date, which will be clearly stated at the time of purchase.

  • Package sessions may not be transferred without written approval from Duet Learning.

Unused package sessions expire according to the terms stated at purchase.

5. Refund Policy

Refunds are not guaranteed and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

  • Completed sessions are non-refundable.

  • Unused sessions in a package may be eligible for partial credit or refund at Duet Learning’s discretion.

  • Missed sessions and late cancellations are not eligible for refunds.

6. Academic Expectations & No Guarantees

While we strive to provide high-quality instruction and personalized academic support, Duet Learning Co. LLC does not guarantee specific grade improvements, test score increases, or academic outcomes.

Student success depends on multiple factors, including effort, attendance, practice, and external academic environments beyond our control.

7. Student Conduct

Students are expected to engage respectfully and appropriately during sessions.

Duet Learning reserves the right to terminate services without refund if a student:

  • Engages in disruptive, inappropriate, or abusive behavior

  • Violates tutor boundaries

  • Repeatedly fails to attend scheduled sessions

8. Tutor Assignment & Substitution

We reserve the right to assign or reassign tutors based on availability, subject expertise, and scheduling needs. In the event a tutor is unavailable, we will make reasonable efforts to provide a suitable replacement.

9. Intellectual Property

All tutoring materials, lesson plans, worksheets, videos, and resources provided by Duet Learning Co. LLC are the intellectual property of Duet Learning.

  • Materials are for personal use only.

  • Redistribution, resale, or sharing without written permission is prohibited.

10. Communication Consent

By engaging with Duet Learning, you consent to receive communications via:

  • Email

  • Phone calls

  • SMS/text messages

These communications may include appointment reminders, scheduling updates, and relevant service information. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Duet Learning Co. LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the services in question.
